What Is Document Preparation Assistance?
Many people know roughly what they need — a Power of Attorney, a Healthcare Directive, a Living Will — but aren't sure which Georgia form applies to their situation, how it should be filled out, or what the signing requirements are. That's where we can help.
As part of your notary appointment, we provide document preparation assistance: helping you identify the right publicly available Georgia form for your situation, explaining how it needs to be completed, and making sure everything is in order before we notarize. We are not attorneys and this is not legal advice — for complex or contested matters, we always recommend speaking with a licensed attorney first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to bring my own form?
No — part of what we do is help you identify the correct Georgia form for your situation. If you have your document ready, simply bring it unsigned to your appointment. If you need the form printed, we can arrange that for you for an additional $10 printing fee. Just mention it when you book and we'll have everything ready.
Is document preparation assistance the same as legal advice?
No — we help you identify the right publicly available Georgia form for your situation and explain what's needed to complete and sign it properly. We're not attorneys and can't advise on the law. If your situation is complex — contested guardianship, special needs planning, business succession — a licensed Georgia attorney is the right call. We're always happy to notarize whatever they prepare.
Does Georgia require witnesses for a Power of Attorney?
Yes. Georgia law requires a POA to be signed in the presence of a notary and two witnesses. The witnesses cannot be the named agent. We can arrange witnesses for your appointment at $20 per witness — just mention it when you book so we can coordinate in advance.
Can you come to a hospital or nursing home?
Absolutely. Hospital and bedside notary services are one of our specialties. The principal must be mentally competent at the time of signing. We serve hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities throughout Metro Atlanta.
What if my attorney already prepared the documents?
Great — we simply notarize. Attorney-prepared documents are notarized at our standard notary rates. The document preparation assistance fee only applies when you need help identifying and completing the form itself.
